Our May half-term camp: a world of adventure with aliens, pirates, Greek mythology and deep-sea science

What do you get when your child spends their half-term building alien shelters, decoding pirate maps and experimenting with deep-sea science? At Summit Club Kids, the answer is: joy, confidence, and a week they’ll be talking about for months.

From 27–30 May, children aged 5 to 11 across West London stepped into a world of adventure - travelling from mythic Olympus to the lost city of Atlantis, from deep space to pirate seas. But behind the laughter and excitement was something else entirely: cleverly disguised learning.

Our signature approach blends physical movement, creative storytelling and collaborative challenges to develop leadership, problem-solving and critical thinking - all without a boring worksheet in sight.

🪐 On Planet Zargon, children cracked alien codes, navigated ‘shadow fields’ blindfolded and engineered crash-proof space pods.

🏴‍☠️ In our pirate quest, they used coordinate grids to map hidden treasure, built working boats from scratch and launched marshmallows in homemade catapults.

⚡ On Mount Olympus, they solved riddles worthy of Athena, built temples fit for Zeus and raced scrolls for Hermes in a silent relay of speed and focus.

🌊 And in Atlantis, they became underwater scientists - testing pressure, surface tension and capillary action through hands-on experiments, before designing their own deep-sea creatures with bioluminescent powers.

This wasn’t just entertainment - it was stealth learning in action. Every day offered a fresh theme, new challenges and genuine opportunities to develop resilience, teamwork and imagination.

At the heart of it all were our incredible facilitators: Ellie, Caity and Noah. Their energy, warmth and knack for storytelling created an atmosphere where every child felt seen, supported and inspired.

As one camper put it:

“This is the best camp I’ve ever been to. Can I come back tomorrow?”
